hi

based on the pictures presented above, it seems that my mother is suffering from erythrodermic psoriasis. i have been convincing her to see another dermatologist but to no avail. we have been to 2 dermatologist already with conflicting diagnosis and prescriptions that did not work. please advise on home remedies that i can give her to alleviate some of her symptoms.

Hi Helga, first make sure you have psoriasis, and not eczema or seborrheic dermatitis. A doctor can help with that, and if you have a serious case, you should definitely consult with a doctor. If its mild, in my own experience, a combination of treatments usually works well enough- using a moisturizer, and a combination of dovonex and hydrocortisne, coupled with coconut oil (my personal favorite, both internally and externally) and modifying one's diet should be enough. You might benefit by looking at your diet carefully- often sugars, cheese, wheat, and fermented foods can be triggers. Try cutting them out and see what happens. Good luck!
